Why did you start Art Towne?

To share art with everyone, despite age, art experience, physical and mental disabilities; to allow everyone to realize that they are creative and talented in their own way, and to expand their skill-set and gain confidence, not just with art, but with their whole life.

How do I sign up/pay?

You can pay online here! Click on the calendar, then click on the image of the painting on the date that you want to sign up for, and add it to your cart. What is Open Studio?

This varies on the project that you are coming in for. We offer painting and drawing supplies with on-site instruction, and we also offer ceramics to paint as well! Come in and check us out and get creative!

What if you want us to come to you/travel costs?

We also make house calls! We will come to you whether you are hosting at event at your home, your place of business, a school, church, community center, nursing home, etc. Depending on where an offsite event is held, a travel fee may be required. Tables, chairs and water source will need to be provided by the host. Call or message us with your requests.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

What happens if I need to cancel my prepaid reservation for a scheduled public event?

We understand that things come up and that you may need to cancel. If you allow us at least 48 hours notice when cancelling, we will be able to issue you a gift certificate for a future party (or redeem your voucher). If you contact us less than 48 hours prior to the event, or if you fail to show up on the day of the event, there are no refunds, because we will be unable to fill your seat on short notice. If you paid other than on our online PayPal, we will charge the payment method we have on file for the unpaid balance due.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a Private Party?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a private party, we require a minimum of 7 days notice in order to refund your deposit. Cancellations and reschedule requests must be made via email on the www.arttowne.com website.

Will I be notified if Art Towne needs to cancel an event?

Absolutely! We reserve the right to cancel any paint party if the minimum number of painters is not met. Registrants will be notified by email. We do our best to give at least 6-12 hours advance notice if we need to cancel (we try to wait until 24 hours prior to events before cancelling in case there are last minute sign ups). If you see your event on the calendar no less than 6 hours prior to the event, this means we are running the event. If you see your event disappear no less than 6 hours prior to the event, this means we had to cancel the event.

*Refer to the Weather Related Cancellation & Refund Policy section for policies regarding cancellations due to weather issues.

We booked a Private Party, but did not meet the minimum guest count, can we get a refund?

We apologize, but we are not able to give refunds or offer gift certificates when private party minimums are not met. The money owed for unused seats will be withheld from your Good Faith Deposit to cover the minimum. If you cancel your party within the cancellation policy window, we will accommodate by offering you a gift certificate for a future party for those guests who prepaid, but your deposit will be forfeit unless we can book another party for that time slot.

I prepaid for a seat, but could not attend the party. Can I get a refund?

We apologize, but no. We cannot give refunds or offer gift certificates to guests who failed to observe our 48 hour cancellation policy. We know that emergencies occur, but since we will be unable to fill your spot at the last minute, we are unable to refund your money. If you paid other than on our online PayPal, we will charge the payment method we have on file for the unpaid balance due.

Weather Related Cancellation & Refund Policy

For the safety of our staff and our guests, there may be times that classes need to be cancelled. We will never intentionally jeopardize your safety. As a general rule, if a storm brings dangerous or inclement weather, including icy roads, our studio will close. If a previous storm brought snow but the roads are passable, our studio will typically remain open.

You will be notified  VIA EMAIL a minimum of 2 hours prior to your party if we are closing the studio. Once we email the attendees, we will remove the event from our calendar. If you no longer see your event on our calendar, it has been cancelled. If your guests did not register online, it is your responsibility to inform your guests of the cancellation.

FOR PUBLIC PARTIES

If you paid for a public calendar party that WE CANCEL, you will be issued a gift certificate that never expires OR we can transfer you to a different party.

If you registered and prepaid for a public calendar party seat that

YOU CANCEL, but our studio remains open, then we apologize but we cannot offer a refund of any kind.

FOR PRIVATE PARTIES

If we believe weather conditions will pose a safety concern for your party, we will contact you via email about cancelling and/or rescheduling.

If you booked a party that WE CANCEL due to poor weather conditions, we will either offer to reschedule you if this is possible, or we will issue you a gift certificate to our paid guests. There is no cancellation fee applied if we cancel your party.

If YOU CANCEL a booked private party (outside our cancellation window), but our studios remain open, we apologize, but you will not be offered a refund or gift certificate, and your party deposit will be forfeited. The Good Faith Deposit will be charged to the payment method we have on file for you.

If you decide to reschedule because of weather conditions and give us at least 24 hours notice, we will work with you on selecting a new date for your party. A $75 cancellation fee will be charged to the payment method we have on file for you and we will transfer any prepaid seats to your new party date.
